Specialist wine shop in a 500-year-old building.
Le Vandemiaire is in the running for the oldest building in Akizuki. The shop has been open for 10 years but the original structure is from when the Akizuki family ruled the district, forming part of the gatehouse for the road to Edo (Tokyo).
Offering one of the widest selections of French wines available in Fukuoka Prefecture, bottles are stored in a climate-controlled room.
The shop also hosts small exhibitions and sells local crafts.
