Akizuki’s famous lunch spot.
For the last 50 years Kuromoncha has been serving Akizuki and its visitors a tasty selection of food and refreshments.
The kitchen is run by a team of women with decades of experience preparing dishes from locally found or produced ingredients. The local kuzu (arrowroot) desserts are a speciality and they can even prepare some vegan dishes when requested. The friendly owner also speaks English and is happy to help with any questions you might have.
The restaurant is perfectly placed to take in the avenue of sakura that lines the main street during cherry blossom season.
A selection of local produce and traditional Japanese toys can also be purchased at the front of the store.
